授業の目的（ねらい）
The purpose of this English II class is to help students improve all four skills in English. The focus will be on communication in English while also reviewing the grammar patterns and vocabulary necessary for communication tasks. Group and pair discussions will contribute to your final grade as will regular quizzes.
学修到達目標
By the end of the course, students will have:
１）Enriched vocabulary knowledge and understanding of simple communicative grammatical patterns.
２）Improved listening skills for daily communication, in both formal and informal settings.
３）Improved speaking skills and ability to give opinions in English.
４）Improved ability to read simple English texts and respond in writing.

授業で行っている工夫（アクティブラーニング、思考力・判断力・表現力の向上に向けた取り組み）
・Students will participate in weekly group discussions and also take turns introducing topics and leading discussions of those topics.
・Students will engage in critical thinking exercises and learn to give opinions and ideas in weekly discussions, both textbook-based and student-led.
成績評価方法
Students will be evaluated by the following tasks:
Unit Quizzes 60%, Discussion Leadership and Active Participation 20%, Homework 20%

準備学習（予習・復習等）
Students are expected to preview the week's textbook content, complete homework exercises, and prepare for group discussions. Students should expect to spend 45-90 minutes a week in preparation and review.
